Rev. Carol Squglio, Chaplain
Here is an example of verbiage that can be used to honor the memory of someone that is no longer with us:
We are gathered here today to celebrate one of life's greatest moments, to give recognition to the worth and beauty of love, and to add our best wishes to the words which shall unite Bride and Groom in marriage. It is fitting that you, the families and friends of Bride and Groom be here to witness & share as they become one. However, there is one very special person that is not with us today. Mother/Father/Grandma/Grandpa-(insert person’s name to honor)-may not be here physically, but is here in spirit and always in our hearts. (This next sentence can be changed to anything you like)Should there be anyone who has cause why this couple should not be united in marriage, they must speak now or forever hold their peace.
